Night of Power

Psalm 14:2  The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.

Muslim3The last ten days of Ramadan are considered highly blessed, especially the 27th night–also called the ‘Night of Power’–which is July 24th this year. For many Muslims, this period is marked by a heightened spiritual intensity and they may spend these nights praying and reciting the Qur’an. The whole Night of Power, from sunset to dawn, is the holiest night of the year for Muslims. Many Muslims think this is a special night when God gives heed to their requests.  Often they are open to dreams and visions as they seek guidance and revelation.

Pray for a humility in the hearts of Muslims that will leave them seeking salvation from outside of themselves rather than in their performance of religious activity.  Pray for a movement of the Holy Spirit on all the Muslims who are praying on this night.  And pray for dreams and visions of the one, true God to be revealed to all Muslims this night.
