Guru Nanak Jayanti

sikh

November 17 marks the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh guru and founder of the Sikh religion. Guru Nanak was the first of ten gurus who were responsible for shaping the belief system of the Sikhs. His birthday is considered one of the most sacred Sikh festivals. Sikhism is the newest of the world religions and the fifth largest. Large communities of Sikhs can be found throughout India and throughout the world. Pray that Sikhs will hear God’s True Word, will come to know the Author of the only way to salvation, and will turn to him for salvation and union with God.

But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.  Deuteronomy 4:29
