A Great Light

Diwali, the ‘Festival of Lights’, will soon be over, the celebrating done, the lights put away. How sad it is to know that, no matter how much the Hindus have celebrated this year, no matter how many lights they put on their house or candles they lit, they still sit as much in darkness as they did before.

Pray that Hindus will come away from this Diwali with a desire to know where Light can be found, with a hunger for the truth found only in Jesus.  Pray that it will soon be said of them:  “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.”  Isaiah 9:2
