International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

John 16:33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
There are many countries in the world today where Christians are martyred for their faith. This also holds true in Gujarat. Some are followed and questioned by police, some are beaten and tormented. For some the persecution is by family and for others it is by neighbors. What is lost may be jobs, school opportunities, or freedom in marriage. The only thing that is consistent is that belief in Jesus Christ brings enmity down on these people.

Pray today for the persecuted of Gujarat. Pray for the young people who are forbidden to worship Christ by their parents. Pray for the adults who cannot get a job because they have stepped outside of the acceptable religion. Pray for the bold who are hassled for their desire to share the Gospel. Pray for all, that they will be strong in the Lord and lean on Him.
