Anant Chaturdashi

On the 11th day of Ganesh Chaturthi called Anant Chaturdashi, specially purchased statues of Ganesh will be taken from homes, businesses, and shrines. They will be carried through the streets in procession and with much fanfare. They will be immersed in a river, lake, or sea, a ritual that symobolizes the send-off of the god to his home. Part of this ritual involves shouting to the god to “come early next year”.
Pray again for Hindus celebrating these rituals and worship. Pray that the Spirit of God will speak to them, will show them the difference between a useless idol and a living, present God.

1Chronicles 16:25-26 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and he is to be held in awe above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
