Ganesh Chaturthi

During the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, Hindus believe that Ganesh will bestow his presence upon the earth for all of his devotees. This festival is in celebration of his birthday. Ganesh is one of the most loved gods of the Hindus, worshipped as the god of prosperity and good fortune. Special idols will be purchased and set up in most Hindu homes. Life will be ritually bestowed upon the idol and then a special tribute of sweets, coconut, grasses and other items will be put before the image. For 10 days, the image will be worshipped.
Pray for Hindus all over Gujarat as they are worshipping Ganesh during this time. Pray that they will see the futility of worshiping an idol that has to have life given to it. Pray that they will feel the emptiness of worship to a plaster idol. Pray that God will reveal Himself in ways that cannot be ignored.

Exodus 15:11 “Who is like you, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?
