Ramadan is revered as the month during which the Quran was revealed to Muhammed. It is the Islamic month of fasting, in which participating Muslims refrain from eating and drinking during daylight hours and is intended to teach Muslims about patience, spirituality, humility and submissiveness to God. Muslims fast to focus more on Allah and to pray. This is the favorite spiritual holiday of Muslims, and this year is observed from August 1-29.
Pray for the Muslims of Gujarat as they observe Ramadan. Pray that as they are focused on spiritual matters, they will be open to the Spirit of the one, true God. Pray that God will reveal Himself to Muslims during their prayer and fasting and that they will respond to Him, will acknowledge Him.
Act 26:18 ..to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
