Baisakhi

Sikh New Year Day (Vaisaki or Baisakhi) is celebrated on April 13 or 14. On this day in 1699, Guru Gobind Singh created the Brotherhood of the Pure (the Khalsa) and Sikhs were given a clear identity and a code of conduct to live by. The main tenet of the Sikh faith is a realization of truth and living a truthful life. Sikhism is a religion of one god, creator and omnipresent. Meditation on god is encouraged.
Pray today for all Sikhs, those living in Gujarat and India and around the world. Pray that, as they meditate on god and seek truth, they will find Jesus.
John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
