Holi

Rom 12:21 “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
This weekend (March 18-20), South Asian Hindus will celebrate Holi, one of their biggest and most anticipated festivals of the year. There are at least four popular mythologies behind this holiday, all dealing with the antics of various gods and the ultimate victory of good over evil. Observation of the holiday in Gujarat begins with a large bonfire, offerings to the gods, and often a ritual of burning in effigy an evil god. Pray that South Asians will hear the news that Jesus Christ sealed the victory over evil for all time, for each one of them. Pray that they will learn that He is the only true Good.
