Adornment

Do not let your adorning be external–the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear–but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. 1Peter 3:3-4
In much of Gujarat, adornment is a big part of the culture. Every woman wears jewelry, clothes are colorful and beautiful, and body art (henna) is used widely. Pray today that the women of Gujarat will learn that what is inside the body is more important that what is on the outside. Pray that they will see that the condition of their soul is more vital than the jewelry they wear; that a relationship with the true God will make them more beautiful than colorful garments ever could.
