Blessed

Baptism is a sign of following Jesus, a statement of commitment, a celebration of new life. Unfortunately, this is a celebration that many new Believers are only comfortable sharing with other Believers because of fear of reprisal. In many instances families turn against Believers, jobs are lost, neighborhoods are no longer welcoming.
In Matthew 5:10 Jesus said, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Nov. 14 is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Pray today for those in Gujarat who are persecuted for their belief. Pray that they would gain the freedom to believe as they wish and to share their beliefs with others.
